Michel L'Huillier
Full Name:
Michel L'Huillier
Bio:
I studied Fine Arts and Art History in Strasbourg, France, where I discovered my love for glass. I moved to Boston in 1995 and worked for eight years in a prominent stained glass studio. With 25 years of experience in glass work, I draw from three different techniques for architectural commissioned works: kiln-forming, fusing and stained glass. I create functional fused glass objects with intricate colored inlays that I exhibit at craft shows: Paradise City and Craft Boston. In 2015 I received the Award of Distinction in Glass at Craft Boston 2015. My objects can be viewed and purchased at the Society of Arts & Crafts Gallery, 98 Pier 4, Boston. Since 2004 I have been sharing my passion for glass while teaching stained glass, fusing, mosaic and jewelry-mosaic in studios and schools in the metro Boston area. I am featured with one of my stained glass students on “This Old House” (season 29, episode11): http://www.pbs.org/video/newton-gennext-homeowners-pitch-in-1kn1mq
