Class & Workshop Policies

Early Registration & Enrollment Requirements
Please register early to avoid class cancellation.  All courses must reach a minimum enrollment (typically 4 students) for the course to run.  In the event a course is canceled students will be offered a position in a different class with an opening, or will be refunded if an alternate class is not an option.

Payment
All class tuition and fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Students are responsible for purchasing required course supplies prior to the first class. Materials fees are payable to the Instructor on the first day of class.

Tuitions may be paid by through Paypal on our website. We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, VISA, Discover, and American Express.  Checks, though not preferred, may be mailed to our post office box (P. O. Box 1003, Dedham, MA 02027). Please include in with your check a note with the first and last name of the person participating in class/workshop along with a telephone number.

If payment has not been received 1 week after online registration your registration will be canceled.

Please Note: A $25 fee will be charged for checks returned for insufficient funds. This is necessary due to bank and administrative costs incurred by MBACC.

Refund Policy

  • If dropped 7 days prior to the 1st class meeting – 100% Refund of Tuition and Fees
  • If dropped  less than 7 days prior to the date of the 1st class – 50% Refund of Tuition and Fees
  • If dropped on or after the date of the 1st class meets – No Refund of Tuition and Fees

Refunds are not provided for CSAs in the ceramics program. CSAs select individual weeks to work, weeks cannot be transferrred or suspended.  All class tuition and fees will be refunded if a class is canceled due to low enrollment. We do not prorate tuition, nor do we allow future class substitutions for partial class attendance. All refunds are mailed directly to the student in check form or are credited back to the student’s credit card within 30 days after withdrawal and/or class cancellation.

Absences
Students with class absences are not offered make-up time.  Students should be certain their scheduled aligns with the course schedules to prevent any missed classes. Known absences due to vacation time or other scheduled events will not be offered refunds or make-up times.

Official Withdrawal
Please contact MB staff. Notification to an instructor is not an acceptable withdrawal. Not attending a class does not constitute an official withdrawal.

Cancelations
Any course with less than the required registrations (typically 4 students) will be cancelled about a week prior to the start of the class. Cancellations will be directly communicated to students at this time. Email is the primary mode of communication. Phone calls will be made to those without email.

Weather Cancelation Policy
Classes and workshops may be canceled due to for weather. Cancelations are not connected to the public school closures. Classes canceled due to weather will have a make-up date will be scheduled by the instructor for the end of the session.  Make-up dates are offered once, it is the student's responsibility to be available for a makeup classes.  There are no additional makeup if a student cannot attend.
