Gianna Bird
Bio:
Teaching metalsmithing and jewelry making since 1996, Gianna loves sharing her passion for creating with others. Working with metals is a wonderful creative outlet. She began working with metals in 1989. Using silver, copper and brass, her work is inspired by things spiritual and ancient, reflecting our connection to all beings and nature. “What excites me is discovering new pieces that are ready for expression, and teaching these skills to others so that they may be empowered to express what is important to them.” She previously taught at Fuller Craft Museum School, Brookline Arts Center, and Arlington Center for the Arts.
Mass Cultural Council Gold Star Award winner 2003 for metal working workshops offered in the Natick area.
