Maria A. Babb (Painting, Photography)
An up and coming artist, Maria has been painting for the last five years under the tutorage of
Nan Rumpf, Sarah Alexander, and Jill Pottle. She has concentrated her work in watercolor
and acrylic painting.
A native of Puerto Rico, Maria’s artwork is influenced by the bright and vibrant colors of her
heritage. Her work is eclectic, ranging from detailed to abstract paintings of nature, landscapes,
buildings, people, and many others. This eclectic variety inspired her to develop themed
paintings as part of her “Collection” series: “The Landscapes and Sites Collection”;
“The Floral Colllection 1, 2, 3 &4; “The Lighthouse Collection”; “The Nautical Collection”;
“The World Collection”; “The Audubon Collection”; “The Red Sox Collection”; and
-perhaps her most favorite- “The Boston Collection”.
