Wood turning begins on the lathe as the basis for a multitude of items from functional to decorative and abstract:  salad bowls, platters, wall hangings, vases and sculptural works drawn from the intersection of the consensus reality and imagination. 38

I take what I see, let the image percolate through my imagination and translate the result to a tangible work. Some take months or years to develop.  Others spring out in final form.  Wood is a living medium. One must account for the influence of its physical properties on the design and creative process.  For me, the pleasure is in the conception and the creation.  I hope the results resonate with you.
