Metal: Maintenance and Upkeep Workshop

Want to keep your tools in good working order? Let’s get down to the metal.  Under the rust there may lie a redeemable tool.  Spend less money on new tools and a little time on maintaining them.

Feeling wretched?  I mean wrenched? Don’t like rusty tools? Join us on this day, move around our wonderful workspace and invest a couple of hours working on resurrecting a tool or two AND learn how to recondition them and extend their usefulness.

After several demonstrations using some household staples and non-household supplies, we’ll have hands-on experience with some tools that need help. Bring a hand tool or two as big as 12 inches to prove it can be done.  (And an old towel to wipe your hands on.) You’ll see the value of caring for your tools in no time.

You need to bring the following: glasses for close up work, if you need them, a terry type hand towel, and $5 dollars for supplies. The instructor will have tools for you to use.
